A HIGHER LEVEL
A HIGHER LEVELHello All, I've been sitting here today thinking, thinking about different conversations I have heard or been a part of, issues I have run into the past week...The only thing that differentiates you from the average joe or jane is if you have a relationship with Christ. Yes, even if you have a relationship with Christ you will still have some issues to deal with from time to time, but it's how you handle it that makes you different than joe or jane. You see, as Christians, when we run into issues we can talk to God about those issues. He may not fix the issues right away, He may not fix the issue the way you want Him to, but somehow He will work things out. By the way, I'm talking to myself as much as to anyone that is reading this blog. So, what do you do when you run into an issue or problem, large or small; one that makes you hopping mad; what do you do? How do you react? How do you treat people that may be of no use to you? Do you treat them the same way you would treat someone in a position of authority or someone you like? As a Christian do you now daily train yourself to leave certain words out of your vocabulary, to change the way you react to issues, to treat people the way you would want to be treated no matter who they are, think about what you do before you do it? I realize that as Christians we are all on different levels. We're all growing daily and as Christians we are being watched daily, as I mention in my book "Down Again". Daily we can be completely turning people off and not realizing it, but every Sunday we go to church and hoop and holla. Let's begin to change and grow, and not stay the same day in and day out, year in and year out. This is 2008, the year of new beginnings, we still have time to 'begin' to grow in Christ and let him make such a radical change in us that our own family and friends won't even recognize us! "Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks."--Ephesians 5:4.

The MV Christena Incident
As some of you know, I am currently working on outlines for three books, in addition to continuing to market Down Again. One of those books will be on an incident that happened August 1, 1970 as a ferry boat carrying more than 200 people between the the Caribbean Islands of St. Kitts and Nevis, sank. My Grandfather and Uncle were on that ferry. My Grandfather swam towards shore until he was picked up, but my Uncle did not make it. I realize that even at 38 years later this is going to be a painful recounting of events, but if there is anyone out there who has first or second hand information, stories, anything that you can tell me, I would really like to know. Of course I will do all of my research and writing of the book with the utmost respect. I never did meet my uncle, but I believe that writing this book will in a way give me a chance to get to know him. I hope that this book will give a similar experience to the families affected.
