She then posted this column as:Poet of the Week: Tabitha RobinThe column below is under copyright Foxzydaze14 You may check out her work as well at http://allpoetry.com/poets/Foxydaze14 Interview by Foxydaze14 Allpoetry MemberColumn: http://allpoetry.com/column/2334116Poet of the week: Tabitha-Robin Tabitha-Robin is a talented poet with a book coming out. She likes painting, singing, writing, and to play the piano. I really enjoyed interviewing her and I hope you enjoy reading it: Allpoetry Member: How long did it take you to finish your book?Tabitha-Robin: Well it took me two years to write it. I still am not complete with it. In a way yes it is finished. But I still have the editor process to go through with my company. I have signed the contract and sent it back now I have to wait till the editors read over and fix any grammar errors; which may be few for I am not a first prize student of a spelling bee. lol.... But after this process I will have to submit my final draft copy without errors and then it will go to the print office. This is my first book so I don't know how long it will take. I am new to it all.Allpoetry Member: Do you want to continue to write more books?Tabitha-Robin: Yes, I am already working on my second book now. I have been planning another book since I found out I was getting the first one done. I had hopes in my heart that if the publishing company would publish my first book, that I would have a second prepared to go to the publishing company on the print date of my first book. So yes, I plan on writing more books. I may even write one on my Testimony and my life, I would like to write some inspirational stuff also. I just have loads of Ideas.Allpoetry Member: How did I start writing poetry?Tabitha-Robin: Well, I started writing poetry when I was in school, you know for school. But after I got out of school I quite for a while for my life took a twist and deep turn. But now that I got back on track, I have been writing for about 5 years solid. But before that was on and off. My sisters have always been really talented writers. They have inspired me a lot.Allpoetry Member: Who is your inspiration?Tabitha-Robin: Well, you know who is my most inspiration. That is God my savior. Jesus Christ, but for a being it would be my husband. He is my love of my life, my soul mate, and forever my companion and friend. My children they inspire me also. They have stuck it out with me through the hard times also. They are my joy and strength. Allpoetry Member: Do you have a favorite Poet?Tabitha-Robin: Well not really, I love reading the bible. It is like poetry and song to me. It inspires me so much. If you ever read the bible it sounds like a beautiful poetry, or a lovely song. It is my life and inspiration. But I also love to read stuff from William Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickson, and so much more. But the bible is my main source of poetic truth and inspiration. I love the book of Romans. It is my favorite:Allpoetry Member: What is the best thing to you about writing poetry?Tabitha-Robin: Well writing poetry is a way of expressing one's soul and heart. It is how I share my life, my faith, and my soul. It is a way of releasing inner feelings that have been bottled up. It is a heart thing. It is something I do, hoping that someone will be touched and help someone out some day. It is why I write.Allpoetry Member: I noticed on your author's page you said you paint. What do I paint?Tabitha-Robin: I paint mostly abstract. It is a painted feeling not really a picture of anything in particular. It just comes out to be what ever the heart, soul and spirit are feeling. I paint wi

Interviewed by Author Chris Lawson
An interview Chris Lawson conducted with Tabitha Robin, author of The Linking Stones: A New Beginning, which was published by Lulu.com. * Can you give us a basic summary of the The Linking Stones: A New Beginning? Synopsis: The Linking Stones: A New Beginning John, from Scotland and Tabitha, a Cherokee Indian princess in America, are bound together by God’s plan for their lives. Each find a stone in a cave where they live, each must decipher it’s meaning, and then set out to search for the other. Overwhelmed with dreams of insight the silhouetted figure of the other haunts their soul; they must go the distant and leave all they have ever known behind to find the reason for these predictive dreams. Once they have left their homelands they encounter an evil situation that is out to stop the chosen ones from uniting. The King of Hell, Abaddon sends out his wicked slaves, Vinayakas, The Blood Creature, and many others to pilfer the stones from them. The two stones hold many mysterious secrets that hold the key to the faith of humankind. Tabitha and John do not know the significance of the stones, they hold the prosperity of life, which in time they come to discover. Through peril and dangerous situations they face, they fight a battle that must be won; the battle between Good and Evil. Their fate has been predestined before birth, now they must fulfill their destiny. * How long did it take you to write from start to finish? It took me one year and a half to write this book. It is the first in a trilogy. * Did you do any research while writing? If so, what kind? Yes, I researched The Scottish language, their history. I also researched information on the Native Cherokee Language. I researched the demonic names and their powers, along with mythology. It was an experience of a life time, but I needed to know details that my book needed to make it come alive. * Your first book was The Burning Bush, a book of poetry. Was it hard to make the transition between poetry to prose? Not really, I have always wanted to write a novel. I love poetry, but my best witting is in a story form. It was a lot of fun and I plan on writing many more. Including the next two books to this series. The Linking Stones. * Are there any authors or books who inspired you as a writer? Yes, of course the Holy Bible, Author God... The most inspiration of my writing. Then there is Karen Michelle Nutt, the author of, Lost in the Mist of Time. I also like Stephenie Meyers' Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse. Wonderful writers. Love them all. * Do you keep a strict writing schedule?I normally work from Monday-Fridays 9 to 12. Then if the inspiration hits me I will write. It depends on the plague called "Writer's Block." If is does not weigh me down I can pretty much write anytime. I have been plagued with writer's block a few times; my children and my wonderful husband always seem to give me my inspiration back. * Who is your target audience? Well, for this book, The Linking Stones: A New Beginning and the other two I will be writing in the future are for teens and up. I am working on a children's novel called Shadow Walkers. But at the moment I am targeting the young adults and adults at this moment. * What are some of your favorite books? Karen Michelle Nutt, Lost in the Mist of Time.Stephenie Meyers, Twilight, New Moon, and EclipseGod "THE HOLY BIBLE" and so many others, IT would take years to tell of all the authors I love. * What would you like your readers to know about you? Interviewed by Dark Cloud Press
Interview with Tabitha Robin Dark Cloud: Thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us. Tabitha Robin: Thank you! It’s truly an honor to interview with you. Dark Cloud: Tell us about your writing career? Tabitha Robin:I have been writing for 15 years. I have only been publishing my work the last 2 years. I have one book published with Publish America, which is called “The Burning Bush” it is a book of inspirational poetry. I combined my past experiences with my present ones. It is Christian based but I do have some darker writes in this book. It is my life story in poetry. I have a second book of poetry in publication now with publish America which also is poetry, It is called “Soulful Ink” It is about my Cherokee Heritage, My Christian Heritage and my Heritage of Love. This book will not be out until the first of next year. Now for my pride and Joy, “The Linking Stones: A New Beginning” This book is awaiting approval with Bloomsbury publishing If they do not take it I will send it else where until it is published. This book is the first of three. It is an adventure story of A Scottish warrior and a Cherokee Indian princess. They both find a stone in their homelands when they are young. Each cave where the stones were found is an exact duplicate of the other. Once they find their stones they make a necklace to wear then with. They began to have dreams of foresight, which is telling them to journey onward. They end up facing many obstacles along the way. This book has many strange twists to it. It has a Christian based theme, with fantasy fiction, and don’t forget the mythological part of it. There is many origins in this book, Christian, Scottish, Cherokee, and don’t forget the dark side. They have to fight evil; the life of the human race lies in their hands, though they do not know it yet. It is a must read to believe tale of bravery and honor. It will put you right into the book. Dark Cloud: Have you ever written under a pseudonym? Tabitha Robin: Well I don’t know. I can’t say if I have or not. I will tell you my story. I have been married before and have had to go through a divorce. I carried that name for so long and did not like carrying it. When I got my first book published I was still under a last name that I did not enjoy or even like. I was engaged to a wonderful man and was waiting our uniting. I was published before I wed so I just had them to publish me under my first and middle name, No last name at all. Now I am married and my last name is Pike, but since I have already started my name as Tabitha Robin, I plan on just letting it stay that way. I feel it tells a story of my life. It has a symbolic message. I only carry my first and middle name, what does a last name tell about you anyhow. I know my heritage and my past, it make me who I am today. But I have never given my name away, only my last. So this name never changes it has always been the same. This is just like God’s love for me. So I only go by my first and middle. Some might call it an alias but I don’t think it is. I just am not using a last name. Dark Cloud: We have heard from previous guest Authors that they "cook" their stories in their mind, or write as it basically unfolds in their mind. Some even use an outline. How do you develop your story lines? Tabitha Robin: Well, I defiantly don’t make an outline. I just let them stew in my head until I have planned it all out. Well at least the characters and the plot. Then I just began to type it out. I will reread it and proof it over and over before I think it is right. I even let a few trusted friends read my work and give me advice. For example: Take this out, or add this, or spelling mistake, dialog mistake, Ect. Ect… Then when I feel that I have put
